1. G.I. Joe Trooper (G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Hasbro, 2012)

    The Retaliation line is an easy pass for me, but this figure was a must-buy, despite his appalling lack of paint. His backpack holds six guns, a gas mask, and an orange trowel (?). He has another gun that doesn’t even fit on the backpack, as well as a removable desert-apocalypse shoulder cape. He further has two heads, one being a Master Chief helmet and the other a normal head to put the gas mask on. And he has a removable hip-sheath with two (different) knives.

    I’m not sure what to do with him - he seems too specialized to be a generic trooper, and his face screams “original character.” I’m not going to troop build him because the Steel Brigade look better en masse. So I’ll probably make him some sort of specialist.

    And yeah, I really don’t know what’s up with the orange shovel.
